On the website for my Uncle, S/Sgt David Rosenkrantz, I posted this picture and asked if anyone knew the identity of the trooper on the lower left:

I got a message from J Kelly who thinks it might be his grandfather, Lester Kelly. Here is a younger photo of Lester Kelly (on the left with the cigarette.]

It looks possible.

Does anyone recognize the name or photo? J. Kelly says his Grandfather talked about being in Holland. He has no idea what company he was in. For that matter, not sure it is the 504 from the messages I received.

Phil,

Wow! That photo is a dead ringer! I hope you can verify it!

Phil,

there was only one "Kelly" in H-Co. His full name is Edward J. Kelly and he was from Deleware County, Pennsylvania.

There was only one other Kelly in the entire 504th, his name was Robert J. Kelly and he was from C-Co, 1st Bn.

Best wishes to all,
Ben
